Club Ownership Changes - Effective December 15, 2006

Effective December 15, 2006 the Michigan Future Stars is under new ownership.  The Club will continue its focus on the development of soccer skills in children by retaining a majority of the current staff.  These are exciting times as the club continues its growth and demonstrates its ability build championship teams.  In the short 3 years of existence the Michigan Future Stars have tremendous accomplishments and expect to continue along this path.

Best of the Midwest 2008

The Michigan Future Stars outclassed the U11 Boys Elite Division over Memorial Day Weekend.  The boys defeated teams from Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota during their championship run.  Congratulations to the boys on a great season!

The Michigan Future Stars U14 Boys also faired very well in The Best of the Midwest. Going Undefeated before falling to Inter 2-0 in the finals.  The U14 Boys continue to improve their play.

 Alliance Spring Invite 2008

Michigan Future Stars U11 Boys humbled the 5th Annual Alliance Invite.  Michigan Future Stars rolled through their bracket defeating Tri City Strikers 12-0, Quill 5-0, and Alliance Academy '96 6-0.  The boys overwhelmed Alliance FC '97 in the finals with a score of 6-1.  Costa Wells was leading goal scorer in the tournament.  Selected to the First All Tournament team were: Luis Anita, Vince Bruno, Donavan Perayeff and Costa Wells.  Luis was selected as Most Valuable Defender.  Selected for the Second Team All Tournament Team are Anthony Wells and Jamal Yarbrough.  Congratulations to all players on their fine performance over the weekend.

Middletown Spring Blast 2008

Regionally Ranked U11 Boys opened the outdoor season winning the Middletown Spring Blast.  The boys played in the 1st Division and scoring 50 goals and giving up just 2 goals.  The Future Star's Boys defeated teams from Louisville, KY, Pittsburgh, PA and two Ohio South teams.  The Boys played at a very high level.

Unseeded Michigan Future Stars U14 Boys upset the field by winning their first outdoor tournament this season.  Over a very cold weekend the U14 Boys beat Grove City, Ohio North United, PA and Metro FC from Ohio.  Moving into the Championship game crushing Warrior 93 from Dayton, Ohio 5-0 in the finals.  All the player's performed very well for Coach Christensen

 


 Soccer First 15th Annual Christmas Tournament 2007

U11 boys went 4-0 in the tournament.  Defeating teams along the way such as Columbus Blast who is Regionally Ranked. The final score to that game was 9-0. In the final game they were facing a very strong Ohio FC team that is ranked 8th in the Nation.  The Future Star Boys upset the Nationally Ranked Ohio FC team in the finals.  Beating them 5-0!

U14 boys also went undefeated in the tournament.  They too also faced Regionally Ranked teams such as Crew's Jr, Columbus Blast and Ohio FC.  The boys had an outstanding performance all weekend!

Great Job to both teams!  Hard work by both the Coach and player's paid off!

 

 

 

 


 


Future Stars Sweep Dublin !!!

 

The Future Stars continue to live up to their reputation of producing premier players by showing what they have in Dublin!  The club brought 11 teams to the All President’s Day tournament and all 11 teams took first place!

Round Robin tournament a Hit

Despite the frigid temperatures and white out whether conditions Saturday the 1st Annual Future Stars Round Robin Tournament was a great success.  All participants played 3 - 6 hours of nonstop ball against a variety of skilled teams and players all for only $20.00.

Future Stars Girls Sweep Chicago

Future Star U-9 Girls, U-10 Girls and U-16 Girls win in Chicago. That brings the number of future star winning teams in Chicago´s Magic Indoor Soccer Classic Tournament to 7 out of 7!
U-9 Girls were unseeded. They defeated MidWest Wings in an overtime thriller. The overtime winning goal was by Jenna Rastigue. The final score was 4-3.
U-10 Girls lived up to their number 1 seed. Embarrassing all opponents they faced, finally defeating the Naperville Galaxy team 13-0 in the final.
U-16 Girls upset the number one seed 5-0 in Round Robin play, ultimately defeating Mequoun (Wisconsin) 6-0 in the final.

Boys Win Chicago Magic "Winter Indoor Classic"

Chicago thought it was a ice storm but it was our Future star boys taking all the hardware home to Michigan. They iced the competition and won all 4 age groups. Congratulations to the U8, U9, U10 and U12 boys on a great weekend of soccer.

 

 


 


U-9,10,12 Boys Win Indoor Canton Regionals

The Future Stars U-10 Boys won the Canton Indoor Regionals this past weekend (December 30 - 31) by beating Troy in overtime 2 - 1. U-8 Boys playing up in U9 division and made it to the finals only to lose to our U9 Boys team.  U10 Girls played up in the U11 division and were finalist. U12 Boys won there Division.  U13 Boys were finalist also. A Great week end of soccer 6 of 9 teams entered made the finals.  Great Job Kids!!!

 

 

 


 

U-13 Boys Win Fraser Holiday Classic Tournament December, 2006

The Future Stars newest team , U-13 boys faced Vardar in the finals. The Future Stars had a 2-1 lead with 23 seconds to go when Vardar scored taking the game to overtime. The Future Stars scored first beating Vardar 3-2!

 

 


 

MSYSA Ford Cup 2006

The U12 Boys took a early lead against FC Nova and held off FC Nova for a 6-3 win. The boys came out scoring the first 3 goals early in the game. The U12 girls had a bit more exciting game going down early 1-0 to Rochester . Coming back and winning in the last 30 seconds 2-we are also proud of our overwhelming club support of our teams. We thank all club members who came out to support the boys and girls.

 

 

 


 

Girls and Boys U12 Ford Cup Quarters and Semi´s Champions 2006

The U12 boys and U12 girls advance to MSYSA Ford Cup finals to be played October 14th in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The boys advanced beating Ann Arbor 6-2 in the Quarters and Vardar 5-2 in the Semi Finals. The girls held there opponents scoreless in both games beating Alliance FC 3-0 in the Quarters and defeating Michigan Rush in the Semi’s 4-0. The boys will play Nova FC in the final and the girls will play RSSC. Good luck to both teams we hope you bring home the cup.

 

 

 


 

U12 Boys & U12 Girls Quest for Ford Cup Titles Begin Playoff Rounds

Quarter Finals and Semi Finals of MSYSA Ford Cup start this weekend in Saginaw, Michigan. Both the U12 Boys and U12 Girls both won there bracket. We wish them well in the up coming challenge in Saginaw.  More news if the boys and girls advance to the finals in October.

 

 

 


 

U12 Girls Roll through Vardar Cup

The girls went 4-0 scoring 17 goals and giving up only 1. This is the girls 3rd straight tournament win and are looking forward to Ohio Premier all girls tournament to be seen as a regional power. The girls are currently ranked 4th in the region and at Ohio Premier looking to become the top in the region with a win there. Good luck girls

 

 

 


 

U10 Boys and Girls Win Troy Soccer City Classic

U10 Boys and Girls come home with titles from Troy this weekend. The U13 boys lose in the final to Georgetown Rangers

 

 

 


 

U16 Win first State Cup game

The U16 Girls on Monday August 21st met up with Troy for its first state cup game. At the 27 minute mark Jamie Monterosso headed in a goal off a cross from Kelsey Hizelberger to start the scoring. After that the flood gates opened with the Stars scoring 2 more before half. Nice win for the girls to start their state cup quest. Final Future Stars 5-0 WIN!!!

 

 

 


 

U12 Girls Roll into Lansing

The U12 Girls roll into TNT Dynamite´s Michigan Challenge Cup and come out of the tournament with another tournament championship. The girls in the previous weekend took the National Soccer Ranking Tournament Cup Championship. This weekend started out with the girls being down 2-0 in there first game only to score the next 6 goals for the victory. Three more wins (all shut outs) gave them the Michigan Challenge Cup Championship.

 

 


 

National Soccer Rankings Cup

What a weekend for Future Stars teams at NSR Cup in Saginaw, Michigan. Going into the cup Future Stars were hoping to grab a title but got pleasant results when the U10 girls made it to the Final to only lose in PK´s to a very good Hawks team. After the U10 result you could wander over to the U12 girls game to watch them defeat the Hawks in the championship game. After that game you could sit and watch the U12 boys defeat the Wolves in the Championship game 4-1. To all Future Stars parents we thank you for your overwhelming support of your sons and daughters.
